Once, many centuries ago they say a Prince of Persia/Egypt fell
in love with the Fairy Princess of the Lake. The Fairy Princess in turn fell
madly in love with the Persian Prince, but she was to all promised to a Demon.
Upon hearing about their love, the Demon killed both the Prince and the Fairy
Princess and to this day the fairies return to the lake to mourn the death of
the two lovers.

یہاں ایک جن اور جنی کی پیار کہانی مشہور ہے۔ کہتے ہیں
کہ جن نے ناراض ہوکر اپنا پاؤں زمین پر مارا تو وہاں ایک بہت گہری کھائی بن گئی۔
جب موسم گرما آیا اور برف پگھلی تو سارا پانی اس کھائی میں بھر گیا، جہاں آج جھیل
واقع ہے۔ جن کا نام سیف الملوک اور جنی کا
نام تھا بدیع الجمال۔ کچھ لوگ کہتے ہیں کہ یہ
دونوں ایرانی یا فارسی تھے اور فارس (ایران) سے آئے تھے یعنی پرشیا سے اور کچھ لوگ کہتے ہیں کہ یہ دونوں مصر کے تھے۔
